Hi T-Town Witches!
We are working a little Hocus Pocus this year for our 3rd Annual T-Town Witches Ride!
That’s right – even though 2020 has been scary in its own right, The Arc of Tuscaloosa County is not about to let it deprive us of our new spooky tradition. Instead of our traditional bike ride through downtown Tuscaloosa, we’re going VIRTUAL!
The month of October will be filled with rides all around the county, a costume contest and more. We’ll have opportunities for everybody to have fun and support a wonderful cause! The Arc of Tuscaloosa supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Tuscaloosa County and through proceeds of the T-Town Witches Ride will be continue to provide transportation for the individuals we serve.
So Conjure up your fellow witches and “fly” on your decorated “broomcycles” through your neighborhood, local park or any place of your choosing. Just be sure to send in your videos and pictures to be registered in our Facebook Contest! We will vote online for the Best Witch, Best Broomcycle and Best Group! Prizes will be donated by local merchants. Winners will be announced “live” on Facebook on Monday, November 1, 2020.
Registration is $20 per Witch (18 years or older) and $40 per family (only one “witch” per family). Online registration begins October 1 and ends October 31, 2020. Online voting will be Saturday, October 31st through Sunday, November 1st, 2020. While Witches can fly any time during the month of October, the official “Flight” time is Sunday, October 25th at dusk.
In the meantime, shake those cobwebs out of your brooms and start thinking about your witchy wardrobe!
